Families invited to meet the principal of Armstrong Creek’s newest school
After two information nights and huge enrolment interest, a Catholic primary school opening next year in Armstrong Creek is now offering families the chance to meet with it’s Principal, Donna Bryce, to learn more about the school.
St Catherine of Siena primary school is open to all families of Armstrong Creek and will offer an affordable and accessible non-government education.
Donna has taken up an office in Armstrong Creek to host interviews while she waits for construction of St Catherine’s to be completed on the 2.8-hectare site in Warralily Boulevard.
Construction is on track and will be ready to host orientation days in late November or early December this year. The $5.7m stage one will include a two-storey teaching and learning and administration area as well as an adventure playground, grass play areas and basketball/netball court.
Donna has been a school leader in Ballarat for many years but is also familiar with the Surfcoast and is looking for to moving to Torquay full time.
“I am really looking forward to building relationships within the Armstrong Creek community and the Nazareth Parish so together we can build a learning community where the children will be engaged with high expectations and empowered to excel,” Donna said.
With construction and enrolments on track, Donna’s priority now is recruiting the very best teachers who will share her education vision.
“Everyone at St Catherine’s will be committed to the development of the whole person; spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically to empower each child to reach his or her full potential,” she said.
“This philosophy will be embedded in all elements of the school life, and particularly in specific programs designed to promote wellbeing.”
