The making of Anchoridge

With less than 10 lots remaining, it's the perfect time to look back on the journey of Anchoridge and the exciting milestones that have been reached.

April 2018 - Project launch

Almost five years ago, Anchoridge was launched to market.

With over 40 years of property expertise, APD Projects envisioned a thriving, welcoming community that residents would be proud to call home; today, tomorrow and into the future.

The vision of Anchoridge was to highlight the exquisite natural beauty of Armstrong Creek, particularly its unique coastal wetlands.

Intertwined with outdoor open spaces, the community would offer landscaped parks, communal outdoor areas, leafy streetscapes and cycling paths to maximise outdoor lifestyles and encourage residents to form sustained social connections.

Anchoridge would be a safehaven for its residents, a place to connect, grow and enjoy life and all that coastal living has to offer.

June 2018 - The Anchoridge Sales Office was officially opened

The first exciting step on our journey, the Anchoridge Sales Office opened, becoming the gateway to our home.

July 2018 - Construction commences

In mid-2018, construction officially began on the community that would eventually become the much-loved home to over 700 families.

Construction at Anchoridge officially kicked off, with initial earthworks commencing in winter 2018.

October 2018 - Our 100th purchaser

Six months after our launch, we welcomed our 100th purchaser to Anchoridge. The community was beginning to take shape!

July 2020 - The first settlements begin

In early July 2020, purchasers in stages 1, 2 and 3 at Anchoridge were the first to settle on their land, marking a significant milestone for the community.

This meant the home building journey was about to commence on the first homes at Anchoridge!

April 2021 - The first stage of Anchoridge Display Village opens to the public

Autumn 2021 marked another exciting moment - the opening of the Anchoridge Display Village on Buchanan Boulevard. The new village showcased 14 of the latest home designs and interior spaces, from some of Victoria's leading builders.

To celebrate, we held a Grand Opening Event, attended by over 1,000 members of the community as well as AFL champion Gary Ablett Jr!

November 2021 - The second stage of Anchoridge Display Village opens to the public

Joining the existing Anchoridge Display Village, another 10 display homes opened on Fawkner Crescent!

December 2021 - Anchoridge Park officially opens

To end an eventful year, perhaps our most exciting milestone was reached; Anchoridge Park officially opened to the public!

Featuring our famous anchor slide, swings, picnic tables, sporting courts, ovals and more, Anchoridge Park continues to be the centrepiece of our community.

It's a wonderful place where neighbours catch up with friends and family.

May 2022 - Our final land release goes on sale

In autumn 2022, our final land release, the Morningside Release hit the market.

These lucky purchasers will be treated to some of the best parkland and wetland views that Armstrong Creek has to offer.

July 2022 - Stage 10 park opens

Located near Stages 10 and 11, our second park opened, with residents enjoying green open space, a flying fox, swing set and a slide.

Today - April 2023

Fast forward to today.

Our coastal community is now home to 662 completed lots, with just 71 lots left to deliver.

It is wonderful to see children playing in the parks, happy couples walking their dogs on the footpaths, and an array of natural wildlife that now call our wetlands home.

APD is incredibly proud to see the vision of Anchoridge become a reality, and we love watching the friendly, welcoming community continue to grow stronger each day.
